Residential Organics Recycling
Beginning in April 2016, residents will be able to add food scraps to their green cart. This is all made possible as a result of a new Anaerobic Digester Facility that CR&R has constructed in the City of Perris. The new facility will convert food and yard waste into renewable natural gas, compost and liquid fertilizer. The new technology will keep organics generated in the City of Temecula out of the landfill, enabling the City to further their waste reduction goals and meet new state mandates for organics recycling.
