The City of Temecula is excited to announce a partial opening of the (MRC) Margarita Recreation Center located at the facility that was formerly operated by the YMCA. The City took possession of this property in 2012, with a long-range goal to renovate the facility to offer programs and services for the residents of Temecula. In 2015, the City decided to postpone a complete renovation of the facility until appropriate funding was in place that would result in a project that would serve the communities full range of needs for years to come. A minimal improvement of the facility was approved for a portion of the facility in order to begin offering youth, teen, senior and special needs programs in June 2016. This partial opening will also allow for the opportunity to better decide the future of this facility and what types of services will best serve citizens at this location.
