Sam Hicks Playground

The City of Temecula announces a new playground at Sam Hicks Monument Park (41970 Moreno Road in Old Town Temecula).  Please join us for the Virtual Re-Opening on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 am @TemeculaParksAndRec on Facebook.

Temecula’s City Council will talk about this newly renovated project which is just steps from the Temecula Valley Museum, rich in our City’s history.  Some of the new playground attractions include a Global Motion Ball, Grapevine & Barrels Climber, and an Oodle Swing!

Mayor Maryann Edwards commented, “It has been a long time coming.  We are very excited to unveil the new playground equipment at Sam Hicks Monument Park.  This playground contains play features that no other park in Temecula has.  You will definitely want to experience this unique park the next time you are visiting Old Town Temecula.”

Thankfully our playgrounds remain open for families to get outside and enjoy parks and recreation, but remember to please Play It Safe by socially distancing when possible, wearing a face mask, and be respectful to those around you.

Temecula City Council Member & Community Services District President, Zak Schwank states, “The new playground provides updated recreational amenities and educational manipulatives at the entrance of the Temecula Valley Museum, making it a great destination for families. This is another example of the renovations and improvements to Temecula made possible by our residents’ support of Measure S.”
