On Friday afternoon, the federal government enacted the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). The CARES Act is intended to provide financial support to both individuals and businesses as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated economic fallout. It provides approximately $2 trillion in assistance nationwide, and builds upon two former federal legislation pieces. The City of Temecula, together with its legal counsel, lobbyists and community partners, are sorting through the details of the CARES Act, and related bills, as quickly as feasible to find ways the stimulus will positively affect Temecula businesses and residents. This is good news. Please stay tuned and the City will share information as we learn more.
