Zach Hall Appointed Temecula Sheriff’s Captain

City Manager Aaron Adams announced that Captain Zach Hall, a 22-year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, will serve as the Sheriff’s Captain commanding over the Temecula Sheriff’s Station effective January 16, 2020. Hall is succeeding Sheriff’s Captain Lisa McConnell, who has led Temecula’s Sheriff’s Station since July of 2017 and will now lead the Riverside County Communications Center under Sheriff Chad Bianco.

Temecula Mayor James “Stew” Stewart states, “Public Safety is Temecula’s highest priority and I’m proud of our long history of exemplary leadership in law enforcement. Temecula remains among the safest cities in the United States and we are confident Captain Hall will continue to build upon the strong momentum of Temecula’s outstanding public safety track record.”

Captain Zach Hall joined the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998.  He gained experience working at each sworn rank from Deputy Sheriff to Captain.  He worked numerous specialized assignments within the corrections division, field operations, and administration, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.  Captain Hall resides locally with his wife and family.

City Manager Aaron Adams states, “I am pleased to welcome Captain Hall to our Executive Staff.  His decades of experience and leadership, including at every sworn rank level within the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, provides a solid law enforcement background that will serve Temecula residents and businesses very well.” Adams added, “We wish Captain McConnell well in her new leadership opportunity and will continue to work with her as she takes command over the communications and dispatch services for the entire County, including Temecula dispatch.”

The City of Temecula contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for Police services. The City is proud of its high level of law enforcement staffing, services and commitment to public safety, which keeps Temecula among the Safest Cities in the United States.[1]
