The City of Temecula Hosts the Temecula Valley Symphony: Carnival of Music at the CRC Amphitheater

Temecula Valley Symphony

Flowers are in bloom and music is in the air!  Experience the Carnival of Music, a live, outdoor concert performed by the 60-piece Temecula Valley Symphony conducted by Music Director, John Mario, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3pm to 5pm at the Community Recreation Center (CRC) Outdoor Amphitheater (30875 Rancho Vista Road). Temecula Valley Youth Symphony and Jr. Youth Symphony will open the concert program with two numbers and will demonstrate to the audience the importance of music education programs for our young people.

This free concert will feature music for young audiences with selections from Beauty and the Beast, Superman, and Fantastic Beasts.  Piccolo player Kate Prestia-Schaub will be featured on the Pennywhistle Jig.  In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, the Symphony will perform toe-tapping music from The Lord of the Dance!  A guest vocalist will also perform entertaining numbers from popular musicals.

Maestro John Mario will introduce the audience to three of the world’s most famous composers: Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.  The Symphony will perform the Brandenberg Concerto No. 4 for two flutes and violin, the Magic Flute Overture, and the famous 1st movement of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.

A Musical Instrument Petting Zoo will follow the concert program providing young people with an opportunity to try out some of the instruments and become more familiar with their various sounds.  Bring the kids, family, friends, lawn chairs, and blankets to enjoy this musical introduction to orchestral instruments.  Just another reason to #LOVETemecula!
