Helping Those in Need During the Federal Shutdown

Temecula Council Member Matt Rahn, with offered support from Temecula Mayor Mike Naggar encourage citizens to donate generously to our local food pantries in an effort to assist local federal employees affected by the government shutdown. Many of our community members are directly affected and our civic spirit takes action to help keep our fellow community members healthy and safe during this difficult time.

The City of Temecula has gathered information to assist federal employees who have not been paid and are in need of food for their families. Temecula’s loving residents and caring local nonprofit, service organizations are engaged year round and committed to helping others.  Your contribution now, no matter how large or small, will make a great difference to the citizens directly impacted by this unfortunate and critical situation.

“Local food banks across the country are seeing an increase in the number of people seeking assistance since the shutdown. So long as this is happening, we want to make sure that federal employees and their families do not go hungry. These generous organizations can help families who have never had to seek this type of assistance navigate the immediate alternatives available to them in order to remain healthy and safe,” shared Council Member Rahn.
