Get Up and Dance at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater

Versa Style Dance Company

The Old Town Temecula Community Theater invites Temecula residents to #ExperienceTemeculaTheater at Temecula Presents’ 2018-2019 Dance Series performances.

The 2018 Front & Main Dance Festival Winners Versa-Style Dance Company will pop open the 2018-2019 Season on SAT, FEB 23, 2019 at 8:00 pm.  Founded in 2005, Los Angeles-based Hip-Hop Dance Company, Versa-Style Dance creates highly energetic work by fusing dances that are culturally significant to our community.  These forms include Hip-Hop styles such as 90s Hip-Hop, House, Popping, Locking, Whacking, and Boogaloo, in addition to Afro-Latin styles such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Afro-Cuban to name a few.

As a reaction to the widespread media misrepresentation of these dance forms, Versa-Style specifically aims to perform for the youth to instill the roots, history, and social and political issues surrounding the art of our generation.

Hip-Hop breaks color lines by creating a forum where people come together for a common passion rather than grouping themselves by race or socio-economic backgrounds.  Versa-Style demonstrates freedom of expression, freedom of individuality, hard work, self-discipline, and dedication to the form.

Temecula Presents’ 14th Season Dance Series also features Avocado Dance Theatre, SAT, APR 6, 2019. Avocado Dance Theatre has been Temecula’s resident dance company since 2012 led by Artistic Director Lori Craig Torok.  She is also the Dance-Scholar-in-Residence for Temecula Presents.

Jacob Jonas The Company caps off Temecula’s Dance Season on SAT, JUN 1, 2019 as they end their World Tour.  Led by 26-year-old namesake Jacob Jonas, the company is gaining international profile for its honest storytelling, visceral performances, and visual content creation.
