City of Temecula Office of Economic Development promotes Small Business Saturday #ShopSmallTemecula

2018 shop small

The City of Temecula is kicking off a Shop Small Campaign and is proud to promote participation in Small Business Saturday.  Set for Saturday, November 24th, Small Business Saturday was introduced by American Express in 2010. The effort is dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday and now the Saturday after Thanksgiving is recognized as Small Business Saturday, the day we celebrate the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S.

As part of this effort, City of Temecula’s Office of Economic Development wants to see your #ShopSmallTemecula selfie. Post a selfie on Facebook and Instagram while shopping at one of the nine participating Unique Temecula Small Businesses on Saturday November 24th using #ShopSmallTemecula and tagging the City of Temecula. The City will select one grand prize winner from this campaign to receive a gift basket filled with Temecula swag.

1. Temecula Lavender Company

2. Temecula Olive Oil Company

3. Main St. Market

4. Artisans Palate

5. AR Workshop

6. Designs on a Vine Boutique

7. Old Town Sweet Shop

8. The Farmer’s Wife

9. Great Harvest Bread Company

The purpose of this campaign is to support the local businesses that create jobs and boost the economy - all of which help to sustain Temecula’s high quality of life.

Since its inception, Small Business Saturday has served as the ceremonial kickoff to the busy holiday shopping season for small (and large) businesses. Just as important, it has driven high visibility and appreciation for the unique role that small businesses play in local communities.
