2017 Ralph Love Winner

Please join us for special First Friday events on Friday, November 2, 2018.  This award-winning, monthly event includes Art Off The Walls from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and a monthly artist reception at The Gallery at The Merc from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm.  Temecula is making it extra special in November with a variety of entertainment and activities at two venues.

Visit The Gallery at The Merc (42051 Main Street) from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm for an artist reception featuring paintings from the City of Temecula’s 11th Annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competition.  Each artist was given one week to paint at select locations.  A panel of Art Experts judged the art and winners of the art competition awards will be announced at 6:30 pm.  Awards include Best of Show; 1st Place; 2nd Place; 3rd Place; Best Sunrise/Sunset; and People’s Choice.

Ballots for People’s Choice will be available in The Merc during the two-month exhibit from November 2, 2018 through December 30, 2018.  Come meet the artists and view the entries while enjoying light refreshments and live music performed by Bob Bozonelos in the Cabaret side of The Merc.

After theArt off the walls 2018 exciting announcements, guests continue their evening of art & culture with a short walk to Temecula's Conference Center (41000 Main Street) where more artists, including many from Dorland Mountain Arts Colony from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Artists will display and sell their work in all mediums.  This is a great place to begin your holiday shopping!  Entertainment will be in honor of Dia de los Muertos, the colorful annual Mexican celebration in honor of departed loved ones.  There will be face painting, a popsicle stick remembrance, and live performances featuring Lake Elsinore Ballet Folklorico and Mariachi Music.

Discover the Art of Living in Temecula by taking an early-evening Art Walk in Old Town Temecula to experience both visual and performing arts while you enjoy refreshments in Temecula’s Heart of Arts & Culture.  These creative community gatherings provide opportunities for local artists to display their fine art and share their talents with residents and visitors.  Your visit to First Friday supports our growing local arts community.  #TemeculaHasArt
