Temecula Welcomes ‘Circus Vargas’ Honoring Special Needs Community Heroes

The Circus is coming to town!  World-famous Circus Vargas has taken their family-oriented show on the road for 48 years performing for rock stars, movie directors, actresses, and more.  Now, Circus Vargas returns to the City of Temecula March 8 through 19, 2018.

Circus Vargas will be debuting their exciting new 2018 Circus  Vargas show, Dreaming of Pirates. Circus Vargas has performed its Big Top style circus for Temecula in previous years and enjoys giving back to the communities they perform in by honoring community heroes.  Circus Vargas representative, Rolanda Kaiser, is committed to creating a close and collaborative relationship with the City of Temecula.

Ms. Kaiser randomly contacted Temecula Mayor ProTem Mike Naggar, who coincidentally recognized her last name as the name of someone he knew a long time ago.  The Kaisers have been involved with the Circus for many years. Her father, Roland Kaiser, was the Concessions Manager for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, in the 1970’s.  While working there, Roland Kaiser hired a 15 year old Mike Naggar to work in concessions and travel with the circus selling toys. Mr. Kaiser later became Concessions Manager for Circus Vargas and in 1989 became co-owner.  Years later, Mike Naggar visited Roland Kaiser at a Circus Vargas performance in San Diego to thank him for the wonderful memories of working for Ringling Circus. Because of this shared connection to the Circus and their involvement in the special needs community, Mike suggested that Circus Vargas honor our heroes of the special needs community in Temecula on Circus Vargas’ Opening Night.

As a parent of a 12-year-old child with special needs, Ms. Kaiser along with Circus Vargas would like to invite the heroes of the special needs community to their opening night performance in Temecula on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 7:30 pm. The celebrated heroes will include Temecula City Councilmembers, Temecula Community Services Commissioners, Our Nicholas Foundation, Autism Society Inland Empire, Comprehensive Autism Center, and others.

Please join the City of Temecula in honoring these community heroes.  The show is beautiful. No animals, just extremely talented and graceful acrobats, aerialists and daredevils. Do not miss this opportunity to see “America’s Favorite Big Top Circus”, presenting Dreaming of Pirates. Circus Vargas will set up its iconic Big Top tent at the Temecula Promenade Mall (40820 Winchester Road).  Run away with us to the Circus…even for just one day.  This will be a memorable and magical experience for the entire family!

Circus Vargas will perform in Temecula from March 8 through March 19, 2018.  Please visit the Circus Vargas website for event times and details at
