[ARCHIVED] The City of Temecula Proudly Announces the Grand Opening of The Sports Ranch at Sommers Bend


Temecula’s Community Services Department is excited to announce the Grand Opening of a new 22-acre sports park, The Sports Ranch at Sommers Bend (32101 North Sommers Bend Road).  Please join us for the official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on SAT, FEB 12, 2022, at 10:00 am.  Temecula’s City Council Members will speak about this eagerly awaited project and cut the ceremonial ribbon signifying the official opening of Temecula’s new sports park.  The celebration will also include music, refreshments, and activities for the whole family.  Remember your lawn chairs and blankets for a fun first day at this park.

The Sports Ranch at Sommers Bend is located at the North-East end of Temecula and contains two baseball fields, two soccer fields, two basketball courts, and a new playground with swings.  The new outdoor facility also boasts multiple pavilion shelters with picnic tables, benches, BBQs, and plenty of open space.  

City of Temecula Mayor Matt Rahn states, “We are extremely proud to be able to offer this highly-anticipated and long-awaited community amenity for all Temecula’s residents and many visitors.  Please join us at this special ribbon-cutting ceremony to be one of the first to experience all Temecula’s state-of-the-art Sports Ranch has to offer.”

City Council Member and Temecula Community Services District President James ‘Stew’ Stewart commented, “I am a huge proponent of encouraging people to get outside and remain active.  This beautiful and impressive park is the perfect place for you and your loved ones to play, exercise, and enjoy living a quality life in Temecula.Temeculasafe2
