Temecula F.I.T. Challenge

The Temecula Community Services Department is offering a new and exciting walking program to help you get fit. It is full of incentives and prizes. The main focus is physical activity aimed at getting Temecula residents walking, moving and becoming more physically active. The new program is called the “Temecula F.I.T. Challenge.” The main goal is to walk form Temecula to San Francisco by October 31st. Along the way you will earn prizes for reaching cities. Walk individually or as a team.

Joining the Temecula F.I.T. Challenge is a fun, affordable way to get fit. You can socialize, stay motivated, and learn about ways to living a healthier lifestyle. Starting a walking program and staying in shape takes commitment.

The Temecula F.I.T. Challenge will help you by providing maps, prizes for reaching milestones along your journey, healthy lifestyle articles and training tips. Program Information
  • Age: Any age is welcome
  • Fee: No cost to participate
  • Group/Team: No more than 6 people on a team
  • Location: Anywhere - You are welcome to walk at any of our city parks or use your own walking route (You can track the mileage online)
  • Program Ended: October 31, 2015
How it Works
You can register as an individual or as part of a team (no more than 6 people in a team).

To Register:
  • You can come by the Temecula Community Recreation Center (CRC) and fill out the registration form.
  • You can email your name, address, phone number (if doing it as a team, please include their names).
  • You can also click on the correct link below and drop it off at the Temecula Community Recreation Center, Harveston Community Park during our FIT Program Hours.

Logging Your Miles
Once you register and if you are not walking during our FIT program hours, you can get a weekly or bi-weekly logging sheet, that you can drop off at the Community Recreation Center, Harveston Community Park during our FIT Program hours, or you can email them to FIT.
All participants that make it all the way to Salt Lake City will receive a special t-shirt commemorating this major accomplishment. They will also be recognized at a Commission meeting and receive a trophy stating their accomplishment.
