January 25, 2022 - LR18-1684 - An amendment to Title 17 (Zoning) of the Temecula Municipal Code, to revise the multi-family definition and to establish objective design standards that will apply to any housing development project that requires ministerial approval pursuant to State law or where the housing development project is subject to discretionary review but a Specific Plan or Planned Development Overlay (PDO) does not otherwise set forth objective design standards applicable to the project.
January 25, 2022 - LR20-1223 - An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Temecula amending Titles 15 and 17 of the Temecula Municipal Code to (1) comply with state law changes to large family day care homes, (2) clarify the standards that apply to senior housing, transitional housing, supportive housing, emergency shelters, trash enclosures, self-storage or mini-warehouse facilities and to projects using the affordable housing overlay zone, (3) establish standards and requirements for dedications and improvements for developments without a subdivision, (4) update how development impact fees can be used, (5) clarify where artificial turf can be installed, and (6) make minor typographical edits and finding that this ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA guidelines section 15061 (b)(3).

Recognizing the important role of local planning programs in the pursuit of this goal, the Legislature has mandated that all cities and counties prepare a housing element as part of their comprehensive General Plans.
