Community Development Services is a multi-disciplinary department providing a range of planning and development services to citizens, elected officials, appointed boards, commissions, and City Departments.

The Finance Department serves as the City’s fiscal custodian and is responsible for managing the Accounting, Purchasing, and Budgeting operations.

Fire Department
The Temecula Fire Department is dedicated to the protection of life, property, and the environment. This is accomplished by following a comprehensive emergency service response program that utilizes a highly trained work force, progressive technology, modern equipment, and responsible fiscal management.

The Human Resources Department is responsible for administering Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices. We provide vision and leadership to promote an environment that values excellence, diversity, creativity, and productivity at all levels of the organization.

The Information Technology department serves our community by researching, developing, implementing and supporting effective and innovative use of technology through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and accountability to our departmental partners.

Police Department
The Temecula Police Department employs officers at the rate of about 1 Officer per 1063 residents. Temecula has 2 storefront police locations (1 in Old Town Temecula, and 1 in the Promenade Mall), a traffic team, investigations bureau, and special teams to deal with drugs and gang-related issues.

The mission of the Public Works Department is to provide quality services that support the infrastructure demands of the City of Temecula and enhance the safety, welfare and aesthetic environment of the residents, businesses, and visitors.
