The City of Temecula's Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Community Services and Temecula’s new Welcome Center to make it easier for you to purchase the Community Preparedness Backpack’s. Instead of having to go into City Hall to purchase, you can pick them up directly from the Welcome Center which is located on Mercedes Street next door to the entrance to the Old Town Parking Garage. ￼
Our backpacks have been flying off the shelves and are a perfect item to give the “Gift of Preparedness” during the holidays. Over this last year, we have sold over 300 bags thereby increasing the readiness and preparedness of OUR community.
As you may or may not know, we have teamed up with Ready America, Inc. to ensure you are prepared with your very own custom emergency kit designed specifically for the City of Temecula and our unique needs. This kit includes your basic lifesaving essentials such as drinking water, a 4-in-1 gas and water shutoff tool, gloves, first aid kit, and a disaster radio with flashlight and cell phone charger.

Weekly, the Office of Emergency Management will reach out to those who have ordered online to let them know they are ready for pick up. Your bag can be picked up from the new Welcome Center by simply showing a photo ID and/or your purchase receipt.
