STUDENT-LED MUSICAL THEATER INTERNSHIP
The City of Temecula is pleased to offer the sixth session of Temecula Presents’ Student-Led Arts Education Internship Program, allowing students to gain experience in the theater industry. This free program provides local youth access to three months of mentorship from professional artists and expert advisors and encourages dynamic, innovative community building and learning through youth-focused arts and cultural projects.
This year, we present Anastasia: The Musical with the book by Terrance McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. This dazzling show transports audiences from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find a home, love, and family.
Auditions for performance roles on stage and interviews for production positions behind the curtain will begin in the Spring of 2024 at no charge to selected participants. Please visit TemeculaTheater.org for more details.
NOTE: This program is only available for participants ages 13-18 and must be middle school or high school students.
