“Some of the most wonderful people are the ones who don’t fit into boxes” – Tori Amos. Show how wonderful you are when you participate in the annual Temecula Special Games! This is your chance to have some fun and be your best. Special Games were designed for athletes of all ages with developmental disabilities. Each athlete is paired up with a high school volunteer to act as their buddy during the event and participate alongside them. Event includes opening ceremonies, non-competitive games and sporting events, lunch and awards ceremony. Each athlete will receive a participation medal and each volunteer buddy will receive community service hours.

The City of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Unified School District are proud to be sponsoring the 11th anniversary of Temecula Special Games. This event will be open to athletes of all ages with developmental disabilities. Athletes will be participating in opening ceremonies, non-competitive games and sporting events, sponsored lunch and closing ceremonies. Temecula Special Games will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 9:30am-1pm at Great Oak High School, 32555 Deer Hollow Way.

Each athlete will be paired with a volunteer buddy. This is a GREAT way to get those community service hours you need to graduate. Volunteers need to be at least high school age. We will not accept any walk-in volunteers at the event. All volunteers will receive FREE lunch and a t-shirt (to wear at the event).
