Following the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001, state and local government officials have increased opportunities for citizens to become an integral part of protecting the homeland and supporting the local first responders.
Citizen Corps programs build on the successful efforts that are in place in many communities around the country to prevent crime and respond to emergencies.
"The mission of the TCC is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and colunteer service to make Temecula safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues and disasters of all kinds."
Achieving the Goal
We continuously strive to "Make Temecula Safer" through:
"We want to be a Nation that serves goals larger than self. We have been offered a unique opportunity, and we must not let this moment pass."
- President George W. Bush
State of the Union, January 29, 2002
